When I began yoga in my twenties to avoid burnout as a first-year high school English teacher, I was disconnected from my body. I had worn a back brace for scoliosis all through high school and did not like to exercise. I was trapped in an overthinking mind. I felt alone. I had been raised with religion but couldn’t find a spiritual connection out in the world as a young adult.
At the time I couldn’t even name that I was stuck, only that I was dissatisfied and tired. I stepped into yoga and began to learn how to breathe and relax, which is where every TriYoga® class begins.
My transformation on this path has improved every aspect of my being. This is why I have dedicated my life to helping others meet the wisdom that is available within when we meet life in the present moment.

For two decades, I delivered yoga at three physical yoga studios in the State College, Pennsylvania area. When the COVID pandemic introduced Zoom, I recognized the benefit of serving students online, meeting the needs of a transformed world. With Flow, the structure the offerings brings the widest range of access points to meet the needs of your full life.

The best way to begin is to start. It really is that simple. Take the first step and you’re on the road. If you’re seeking specifics…Basics presents the foundation of TriYoga. Therapeutics offers another entry point for those who like to go slow, want to work at a deep level, are recovering from an injury or illness, and/or exploring a physical limitation.

TriYoga of Central Pennsylvania’s program is built on connection. All of us know the students by name and can offer personal support based on each person’s needs. We also consciously create an environment that quiets the noise and helps you focus. You will never see ads on our site or when watching a video. If unique circumstances mean finances are the limitation to your joining us, please reach out to apply for financial aid.

You do not need to take the introductory course Fresh Start to join the monthly membership. If you are brand new to yoga, we do recommend it. In addition to giving an overview of TriYoga, we discuss the props you need, the main breaths we use, and the basics of natural alignment.
